I had the same problem I was using the Interlink controller. I found that if switch C is put in position 0 or 1 then differential thrust is possible.

I agree they are too sharp. I just received mine before Christmas. Maybe it’s the current batch. I put some hot melt glue on the tip. Just a drop on each one. Much better now. T
