The WACO YMF was originally produced in 1934/1935 by the WACO Aircraft Company of Troy, Ohio and was unquestionably regarded as the finest open cockpit sport aircraft.
When production was re-established in 1986 with the WACO YMF-5 Classic, many updated features were incorporated. Thirty-six Classics were born, and based on valued input from the customers worldwide the WACO YMF-5 Super was developed.
