This aircraft has been converted to electric using a Great Planes Rimfire 1.60 63-62-250 Outrunner Brushless motor, and an APC 30 X 13 electric 3 bladed prop. This is a large aircraft, so It is flown on six 8000mah 8s LiPo batteries. (The batteries are configured to emulate 12s 24000mah 50.4V) which yields about 5 mins flying time. With proper throttle management you will definitely exceed 5 mins. The aircraft has been balanced and tuned to fly exceptionally well with no trim, by adjusting the CG, tuning the incidences of the flying surfaces and the motor, adding mixes and applying AS3X flight stabilization. You'll be amazed how well it holds during knife edge flight. it even climbs a bit and requires some rudder to counteract gaining too much altitude. It's just a characteristic of the aircraft's design. Enjoy. Please rate and comment so that I'll know if I'm on the right track with my setups. If I am, I'll keep doing it. If I'm not, I'll take your suggestions to make things better.
