BRISTOL BLENHEIM LARGE SCALE

Twentieth in my series of WW2 and 1950s piston powered warbird AVs.

The Bristol Blenheim was a British light bomber aircraft designed and built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company that was used extensively in the early days of the second World War. It was adapted as an interim long-range and night fighter, Blenheim turret gunners actually shot down two ME109 fighters.
A Canadian built variant named the Bolingbroke was used as an anti-submarine and training aircraft, the Blenheim and Bolingbroke look exactly the same, the sole difference being internal equipment.
Powered by two Bristol Mercury 9 cylinder radials of 920hp it had a fairly high speed for a bomber of around 270mph.

The model is a 14’ span with a top speed of 150mph, I have completely revamped the weight, size and physics, added sprung undercarriage, wheel brakes and turret guns.
Use full flap for take off and throttle up slowly at first until the rudder bites or the torque swing will take it off course.

Usual controls with rates on ch5 with up for normal, flaps ch6, wheel brakes on up elevator, turret guns on 3 pos’ switch with off towards you.

Hope you like flying my AV version of this classic warbird.

Many thanks to minou for the ea.
