The third in the series of large scale WW2/1950s warbirds.

Douglas Devastator half scale AV.

As before this model created to fly like the real aircraft with scale speeds, reaction to the flight controls, realistic engine sound and revs etc.
This model is the Douglas Devastator torpedo bomber and its flight performance was slow and fairly ponderous with a poor power to weight ratio, the max’ speed was only just over 200mph,the model reflects this in its performance.
As per previous models use a long runway to take off and land for realism, Evergreen airport is good.
This is the most complex model to date with the following functions.
Ch8, 3 pos’ switch, rear off, middle, canopy opens, forward, wings fold.
Ch7, retracts.
Ch6, flaps and tail hook.
Ch5, torpedo drop.
Brakes on up elev’.
In addition the rear gunner will move the guns at full throttle with elev’ and rudder.

Many thanks to Dirtyharry for the original and fantastic EA.
