The North American B-25 Mitchell is a twin-engine bomber that became standard equipment for the Allied Air Forces in World War II. It was used for high and low level bombing, strafing, photo reconnaissance, submarine patrol and even as a fighter. It was distinguished as the aircraft that completed the historic raid over Tokyo in 1942.

It required 8,500 original drawings and 195,000 engineering man-hours to produce the first one. Nearly 10,000 were produced from late 1939, when the contract was awarded to North American Aviation, through 1945.

This RealFlight model is similar to the Bryon B-25 that was used in the show Striking Back.

13.54 feet wingspan. 82 lbs. Weight. Thanks go to InkyOO for the 3d model.

Various modifications for RF 7.5 have created realistic flight characteristics.

This model has the usual controls along with landing flaps and retractable landing gear.

Moderately powerful brakes are engaged with lowering of the landing flaps, controlled by the Interlink rotary knob (channel 8). The engines on this model create considerable thrust at idle, so engage the landing flaps (which control the brakes) to keep the model from creeping ahead.

Fly with the rate switch in the “High” position. Lands well with or without flaps.

This is a very nice example of a larger heavier twin-engine aircraft. A pleasure to fly.
