Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter, after the P-51 and P-47. Various modifications for good model performance in RF 7.5.

Basic flight controls include throttle, rudder, elevator, ailerons, retracts, and sliding canopy. No brakes or landing flaps.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

Retracts are on channel 7.

The sliding canopy is controlled with channel 8. The position closest to you closes the canopy, the middle position partially opens the canopy, and the position farthest from you fully opens the canopy.

This model flies quite well with easy handling characteristics. Even though there are no landing flaps or brakes the model does land nicely. Worth adding to your collection.
