This is a Real Flight 7.0 electric powered model of the Taurus, an early pattern plane designed and flown by Ed Kazmirski.
The original plane was the R/C Multi champion at the 1962 U.S. Nationals, held at the Naval Air Station in Glenview, IL.
The plane is now part of the collection at the National Model Aviation Museum in Muncie, Indiana:

Taurus (original), built by Edward J. Kazmirski. National Model Aviation Museum Collection, Donated by the Vintage Radio Control Society, 2009.42.01.

Key to getting some of the details correct was the assistance from Michael Smith and Maria VanVreede from the museum.
They provided several photos of the original model, taken from several angles.

Thank you to the following people for all their help and encouragement on this build:

Michael Smith, Museum Director
Maria VanVreede, Collections Manager
