This CS represents a model that TPRogers (forum member) has built in 1/4 scale, and has been flying for a long time. We got together, and I agreed to do this CS for him. In his words: The 1918 Fokker Dr.I, Fokker Werks number 545/17 in the personal colors of Ltn Hans Weiss, who when promoted to leader of Jasta 11 in April 1918, had his ground crew over paint his triplane completely white except for a yellow cowl and of course black iron crosses. Weiss means WHITE in German, hence the all white triplane. Very shortly after doing this, he was shot down on 2 May, 1918. He had a total of 18 victories at the time, and was an Ace, but was never awarded the Pour Le Merite, or Blue Max as it has come to be known. He was however awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class. Of note is that he was shot down by the guns of a Sopwith Camel! Outside of Hermann Goerings all white Fokker DVII, Weiss' all white triplane was the only other one painted this way.

Small item to note: you`ll see some blue on the leading edge of the top wing, I could not fix that, also, the bottom of the fuse is of a slightly diff. color, that part of the plane was not on the map, thus I could not color it, thankfully, it is only a slightly darker shade on the CS I started this from, (the EA)
