I just did it today. What is the problem you are seeing?
Heli initial positioning
Scott: The command refuses to work for a previous customized (under RF deluxe) heli. I just checked it and it works for a stock heli. As a work-around, I can set the position with a stock heli and when I change over to my customized version, it now is in the correct position.
Unrelated, but sometimes when I go into the editor and click on the Airport edit command or the Tree edit command, the menu briefly flashes and then disappears. To get to function normally I then have to quit the game and restart it.

Sounds like a bug, we'll look into it.

When the airport editor disappears, press escape twice!
I too have seen the airport editor disappear. It seems to occur when I move the dialog before selecting the tabs. Anyhow, pressing the escape key twice seems to get you back to the main screen.
I've learned to select the other tabs before I move the dialog, and that seems to avoid the problem.
