Airport Objects (static display aircraft)

How does one create Airport Objects, specifically static display aircraft?

I have seen (and downloaded) some static display aircraft (I think) were copied from flying models on swap……so I was wondering if I could create more of them from my own “inventory” of planes… particularly in the several color schemes I have.

I’d like to park a squadron of TBM's and TBD's on a Carrier, or have several versions of a Curtiss Jenny parked at a Vintage Airshow.

BTW, I don’t have any 3-d software if that matters…

So the only thing I have to do is import my planes KEX file as an Airport Object? Nothing else I need to do?

I don't know for sure... all the objects that I have made and imported do not have associated painted bitmaps. I think the link above will go through much of this.

Having the Jenny as an Airport object would be cool.

Okay thanks. If it's not a huge major project I'd like to do it too.
