I like what you have done here. I have created a lot of photofields, but have had no success, adding any objects.

When flying at this field, I noticed that the fences and the bushes are all objects. Would you please provide a little insight into how you did this?

Any objects I try to place, cannot be seen and it’s as if the pilot spawn position is the entire airport.

You may have to zoom way in on the pilot spawn point. When you add an object, it spawns in the same place. You then have to click it to select whatever object you placed and drag it to where you want it. Or you can select it from the Objects list that appears in the Folder Listing window. Then adjust the size and orientation how you want it. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Appreciate the response. I am able to create an object when I zoom in. It’s when I try to move it out into the photo field that it doesn’t seem to work correctly. I will try again

I went into edit on your airfield and its different than mine. Almost looks like you designed the airport with runways, bushes, fences, chairs, etc... and then added the photo. your photo has limited viewing below the horizon. my photo goes down to my feet in 360 mode. my actual editable airport is tiny. i guess this is why when i add an object i can't see it. even if I resize or move it. i can move it out of the grid and onto the photo but it still doesn't show up. if i create an airport, adding objects is not a problem. i for the life of me can't figure out how you mixed your photo and objects.

did you do something to your photo to break it off where your editable airport starts? did you some how add the photo after creating the airport?

And just like that i am starting to see how you did it. i was able to install a runway object and overlay the runway in my photo. thanks for this example. now i can add collision objects on the ground...

I added a panoramic photo first. Then I took time to crop and level it. It took many tries importing and importing to get the photot right. It’s still not perfect but my newest one is better.

Then I added the collision objects to match the photo and placed them where things are. When an object is selected, go to Render to Depth Buffer Only, mark Yes. This makes the object you placed invisible but still collide-able. I hope this helps.

Yes, I understand all that and it is a great help. The zoom in feature that you told me about allowed me to finally start understanding the editor much much better. Again, thanks for all your comments and support. I’m having some fun now.
