Cross wind setup plese help.

I'm new to RF. I've read the instructions on how to setup wind. I just haven't been able to get it to work. Is there something or other setup that I have to do besides go to the Environment Menu, then click on Wind? Then follow the prompts for Direction, Speed, and Turbulence.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
 
Page up and down keys along with the home and end keys on the keyboard adjust the wind and the direction
 
I've figured it out.. you need to start the flight by increasing the speed a little. Then everything starts to work.
