DirectX 8 will not let you use your controler so if you wish to run WinXP or DirectX 8 I would wait for an update (I hope).

Well Im running DX8 and have had no problems with it.
Im not sure what the heck WinXP is but I have the realflight controller and another hooked up to a switchbox, and both will work fine.
There is a new version of DX, DX8a that might help

I downloaded the update and this fixed the problem, I jumped the gun on this one.
FYI: WinXP is Windows XP the new OS from Microsoft, it is do to be released in September.
