FLEX MAMBA 70-120 (InterLink) by RCFS_AV

Flex Innovations Mamba 70-120cc (InterLink) by 1st RC Flight School. This model features both Precision (sorta) and 3D Rates. "Balanced" control responses in all three axes provide highly realistic precision aerobatic handling and unlimited 3D performance!

Smoke A - Rates C: Pos 2 = Precision/Snap Rates, Pos 1/0 = 3D -
Move the CG forward 1" to achieve even greater precision handling, albeit at the cost of 3D performance.

Note that Snap Rates kick in at full snap stick deflections...

But it looks strange with 3 wings in the physics, would you seriously take a Triplane mamba to the flying field just because it snaps better.?
My expertise is in getting realflight models to behave exactly as they do in the realworld and thereby reinforce habits that compliment realworld flying. It's actually not a 3rd wing. Those are ailerons that only kick in during snaps. If aileron travel was set as high as it would need to be for snaps the plane would require so much expo that the linear response so vital to precision flying would be forfeited. I have learned over the course of professionally training over 2200 rc pilots of all skill levels that constantly flipping switches during maneuvers introduces too many variables and thus greater inconsistency.

@RCFS have you seen the Snap Roll Boost Factor setting under the Wing in the physics? I haven't used it before but one of the RF Guys mentioned it to me once. That might help you.

Yup. I max it on almost all aerobatic models with tapered wings
Okay. I just wanted to make sure you knew about it. Does it have much effect on normal flight? I've always wanted to try it out but never did.

I have experimented with it on dozens of models and can't tell the difference. I made a video comparing 0% and 200% Snap Boost and can't see any difference. Adding weight to increase wing loading, thinner airfoils, and increasing taper have mainly been how I've been able to get realistic snaps. Snap rates feature less elevator and rudder to prevent snaps from "burying" along with more aileron travel/a faster roll rate.

Thanks for the video. Yeah, it does seem about the same with 0 or 200 Snap Roll Boost.

RCFS updated FLEX MAMBA 70-120 (InterLink) by RCFS_AV with a new update entry:

IMAC Mamba

Flex Innovations Mamba IMAC (InterLink) by 1st RC Flight School. This variant features Precision, Snap, and Hammerhead/Spin Rates. Optimized aerodynamics, mixes, and "balanced" control responses in all three axes provide highly realistic IMAC precision aerobatic handling and unlimited performance. Certain to make you forget you're not flying the real thing!

Rates Switch C: Pos 2 = Precision, Pos 1 = Snap, Pos 0 = Hammerhead/Spin - Smoke A

The primary objective when configuring this...
