FlightAxis Link is now RealFlight Link

With the sale of RealFlight to Horizon Hobby, this feature has been renamed to "RealFlight Link". FlightAxis is a trademark of Knife Edge Software, and did not come along with the software.

The core development team went with RealFlight to Horizon, and we are on good terms with Knife Edge. If you talk about FlightAxis, we'll know what you're talking about.

The main impact is that the setting is called "RealFlight Link Enabled".

Happy SITLing!

Please explain how Software In The Loop will affect us or why should we should care about it. 😊

edit: I think I found the answer on my own:

Unless you develop flight controllers, it probably won't impact your use of RealFlight at all.

That said, tridge and other ArduPilot developers have used the feature to enable flight of several innovative VTOL platforms. I'm guessing their work has been echoed by commercial manufacturers. So if you enjoy flying weird aircraft, there's a possibility that RealFlight and SITL have enabled the development of something you enjoy!
