Getting new planes from swap pages

Sorry for the noob question. RF8 is my first copy and I'm just learning the ropes. To add new aircraft, can I use the ones listed in the RF7.5 swap pages? What differentiates between each sub forum on the swap pages? For example are all the old swap pages compatible with RF8 or do I want to avoid the older versions? Thanks for the help!

In general all older version aircraft will work with newer versions of realflight. The old plane may fly and look different than intended by the origional author due to overhauls in the graphics and physics engines. They will work but may look overly shiny or fly in a odd manner.
 
New to RealFlight

If your new to RealFlight, you Really should check out, the Stickies at the top of the forums. In particular:
