Hawker Mark II

Then don't worry about it then, I looked at the pictures on the download page and noticed the fuse was a different shape to the 150 monster.

The F7F could stand the most improving between it and the AT-6 stock plane. So I guess the F7F is my new vote.

I assume you mean "North American T-6 Texan" not "Beechcraft T-6 Texan II"

Okay no problem. I need to look at the fuselage of the 150 and see where they differ. I assumed the 150 was scaled up from the stock plane and mine would be about the same, but maybe not. Maybe mines off from stock. I'm curious now so I'll compare them.

Yes it was the North American T-6 Texan. But I'm not sure about doing another scale plane I don't do them like you scale guys like. I'm an almost scale guy.

Legoman. I think I seen what you're talking about on my fuselage looking bulky. I think it's because mine had a large chamfer and is also a bit wider than tall, but the normal fuselage is a bit taller than wide. So take a look at this picture and see if it's what you want? If it is I'll go on and tweak the rest and get a Monster Stick 150 going. Also give my plane a good look and tell me what you think needs to be changed to get a decent Giant Stick 150 going and I'll keep that in mind with I'm making mods to it. I just want to tweak stuff once and not spends lots of time on it. It's a simple plane and shouldn't need that much work.

Oh I found a place that was talking at the Monster Stick 150 and listed these specs for it. I'm going to use the picture from the AMR website and overlay it on the plane in 3ds Max so the top view will be accurate at least. If anyone can find a 3 view of the AMR Giant Stik 150 that would really help. I looked some but didn't see one but I'll look again if you think this is a good enough fuselage now. I may email AMR and see if they can give me a 3 view and maybe even plans, but mfgs always like to keep that stuff pretty close to home. But we'll see. So let me know if I the fuselage is okay now and good enough to go on with the build.

Here's a picture from a build thread on rcuniverse that looks to be from the mfg. that has lots of pics and information. I think I'll start a build thread for this plane I'm going to do it.

Looking good technoid.

Sliding canopy is cool addition. It does need some max work for rails though, as it looks like it floats in the air??

I started working on this plane again. The color scheme was too dark so I lightened both the dark gray and light gray so you could see the plane better. I also added more gloss. I might add a bit more gloss. Anyway here's a picture of the changes I made.

So what do you think the best name for this plane is. (please help)

Hawker Sea Fury and say in the release note's it's a stand-off scale.

Hawker Mark II and say it's an original design inspired by the Hawker Sea Fury.

Oh. I am going to add some dihedral.

Looking at the plane a little more I can't really call it the Hawker Sea Fury, and I guess that's why I never released it. It's definitely shorter and the end of the fuselage isn't tall enough, it comes down to a point too much. Plus the Canopy is all wrong, it's part of the turtle deck and the real plane has a bubble canopy. So maybe Hawker Mk II is a good name for it. Sorry.. I always seem to ask dumb questions.

Are you having thoughts of redoing it more to scale?🤔
No. I don't think so. Just having regrets how I did it the first time. Making it to scale would be a major effort. I imagine the wheel wells are partially in the fuselage too, so it would be way more work than I want to do on it. The people that won't want it because it's not true scale will be missing a really nice looking, nice flying, nice sounding plane.

I think I'm cursed. I seem to have strange problems with hard to find fixes. I found an issue with some tail shake, which @asj5547 helped me with, but then I found some other stuff that I don't like. There's a reasonable workaround but I'm not sure what I want to do yet. So right now I'm playing with it and seeing if I can make it better.

Tail shake, that's interesting. I have never come across that with all the crazy modifications I have tried on different aircraft. I find it interesting that a sim can imitate this characteristics. Was it at certain speeds that it occurred or attitudes?

It was while it was very slowing going down the runway. More of a twitching look.
