Help loading a model for someone with CRS!

Its been so long since I've been on the sight that I can't remember how to get a model, I need the EA file version right? Before I can load the CS or AV files. I've been trying to find a large scale Fokker DVII like the Hangar 9 and every one I try and import says I cant as I don't have original version of model. I've spent a couple hours now trying to find one with no luck. Can someone tell me where its at. Also I'm using RF 8. Thanks

Yes, you are correct. You need the EA before you can use an AV or CS. Just like you need a car before you can modify the engine or give it a new paint job.

I have RF Evolution, which includes the ElectriFly Fokker DVII. The aircraft list indicates that this aircraft was in Expansion Pack 3 (2007) and in the Airplane Mega Pack (2011).

BTW - if you can afford it, RF Evolution is worth the upgrade. It includes almost everything from the previous versions, including the Expansion Packs. There are a few things missing, reportedly because of licensing constraints. But, overall, it is great and has new features.

Purchasing it via Steam has been a much better experience than I thought it would be. The program file structure is familiar, I can launch RF from the taskbar, and Steam automatically updates the program. Additionally, I like to tweak things and experiment with program files, which means I occasionally screw things up beyond repair. Uninstalling and re-installing the program via Steam is just a few mouse clicks.

Thanks, What is STEAM?

While the Add-Ons for RF are available for free (see https://www.realflight.com/rfl-kb-addons.html#a-UpgradeUpdate), the older Expansion Packs are no longer supported, unless you find an old disk for sale. BUT, as FederFlyer noted, some of the planes were ported over to Evolution. Luckily, the Fokker DVII is one of those that all the CS's and AV's are based on. So the option is to upgrade to Evolution. If your controller works with RF 8, you won't have to get a new one - although the latest and greatest Interlink does support more features.
