Is there a maximum channel amount?

I am using Real Flight 9 without an InterLink DX Controller but with my own transmitter connected with the corresponding USB dongle. Everything works well as long as I don't have more than 8 channels assigned in the mixer of the transmitter. As soon as I add one more channel Real Flight 9 crashes on startup with the following error.

"An unexpected error has occurred. Would you like to send an error report to Knife Edge Software?"

Windows detects the transmitter as a game controller and also has no trouble handling more than 8 channels.

Is there a limitation in Real Flight 9 that game controllers can't have more than 8 channels?

You need the Interlink DX controller to get all 15 channels.

If I remember correctly the USB dongle only supports 8 channels.
