Killengine on a channel?

What controller?
The keyboard command is "K". The motor will start again if you drop the stick all the way down, and back up again.

Easy to do if using a fully programmable radio running OpenTX, EdgeTX or ETHOS. Maybe (I have no experience) with a top end Spektrum.

I did not take the time to figure it out, and only have a very old Interlink (a non-DX) - but it looks like you could set up a condition using an unused channel to drive the throttle to fully closed using the software radio. However, this would only be specific to a copy you made of one aircraft, and not applicable to any others directly.

I tried this on a few aircraft but the engine did not restart. Being able to restart would be great because sometimes I do deadstick gliding in the 3D environment and want to briefly restart to clear a hill or crest. Perhaps your particular aircraft have a setting or configuration in the aircraft editor that enables restarting? If so, then I would really like to implement it.

Hmm - seems to be dependent on the type of motor/engine. All the electrics I tried would restart, but none of the glow/gas would. I didn't see anything specific in the Editor, so suspect it is an inherent characteristic of the top level engine type used when creating the model. It is kind of hard to restart a gas/glow engine in mid-air.....

That has been my experience, as well. I typically change gas engines to electric for the on/off ability and for their instant response to throttle changes.
