Launcher helper not running because of McAffee Antivirus

McAffee Antivirus found this: Artemis!293A75F33E35 on my install of RF4.5, and it quaranteen's it.

It also finds and kills my Launcher Helper within minutes after I reinstall the helper file from the disk.

Can someone contact McAffee and let them know that the files in RF are not trojans????

Can't you contact McAfee?

Try Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free. That's what I have recommended to people, RF users and others.

McAffee scares me. It has somehow found it's way on my computer, without me or anyone else in my family knowingly dling it, and has come back after 2 uninstalls. I also use MS essentials.

McAfee gave me problems with RF also ...Fully uninstalling it required a special "Tool" DL
While I found McAfee be to aggressive
On its initial full scan.............. MS Essentials founds things McAfee missed !
take jeffs suggestion as I did ....... I'm very happy with Essentials

McAffee as well as Norton are both worth squat. ive used AVG for years and never had issues. when i used norton or mcaffee i always had problems.

While not perfect Security Essentials does a pretty good job...

And it's free.
