The Martin P6M-2 Seamaster was a 1950s strategic bomber flying boat the designed for the U.S. Navy. It had a rotating bomb bay in the hull to deliver its payload of bombs or mines. It never entered full-scale production however due to submarines, which were being able to deliver a nuclear bomb via ballistic missile. It was later proposed to be a high-speed minelayer. However, the mines of that time could not stand an impact with the water at 600+ mph.
