well i like that too i may have to do a few CS for the 80 in Miss VintageAfter thinking about it I'll probably stick with my original plan and keep the Miss Vintage name (it sounds better) and scale the original size to 80 inches. I doubt that anyone would care and that's a good size for me. As for an update on my progress I adjusted the length of the aileron and detached it from the wing. I also did a few final tweaks to the lattice work.
Agreed, can we get a look at what a small radial would look like on it ?? It would be more period correct for the plane. But I have to admit a 4-Stroke looks really cool on it. I guess more of a vintage look.

It's time to cook dinner and watch a movie with the wife but I'll put together a picture for you.Agreed, can we get a look at what a small radial would look like on it ?? It would be more period correct for the plane.
What abt this one tech a 5cc radialI took a look at some radials and the smallest I could find was a 19cc Saito, and it was really too big for this plane. And it was a 3 cylinder so I'm not really interested in something like that for this plane. It also weighted 42.5 oz so it's too heavy. Sorry but I think a radial is out.
At 5cc it wouldn't have enough power. It looks kind of heavy for that small of an engine. What abt this one tech a 5cc radial
G-Mark 5-cyl .30 cui (5 cc).
Can`t you scale the engine down a little ????....OR, you can just keep it that way and make it one of your fantasy planes.... like "Big Daddy Dan Roth did with his cars...with huge engines....Just for the fun of it I put my Moki 5 Cylinder Radial on it. Not quite sure if the scale is correct. None-the-less it looks like too much for that plane.

I really just created a picture of the radial on it for you. I actually prefer the 4-stroke or electric motor. More of a normal rc plane look. I could also use one of the other radials I created, they don't have a carburetor in the back so they don't stick out so much. And they're just less bulky looking. I may end up using an electric motor on it, it's not as bulky looking as the 4-stroke. And I really like the electric sound profile I use. Can`t you scale the engine down a little ????....OR, you can just keep it that way and make it one of your fantasy planes.... like "Big Daddy Dan Roth did with his cars...with huge engines....
My radial suggestion was just an idea, so thanks for taking the time, I agree it really is perhaps a little to much, OH WELL, at least we all got a visual of what might have been, As far as the four stroke vs electric, I would vote for the four stroke, it looks real nice on the plane.I really just created a picture of the radial on it for you. You've followed my builds since I first started so I know you'll remember I did a few radials of my own design in the beginning. If I remember right, I had three different versions of my custom radial. But I'm not sure you ever seen this one. After I did the Moki 250 5-cylinder radial scale design I went back and reworked my custom designed radial to look more like the Moki, and I think it turned out pretty nice. It doesn't have the carburetor in the back and is less bulky looking. HMMMM, Not sure if I`ve seen that or not ???, if you posted pics before, then I probably did see it, In any case, It would be nice to see it on the plane. You've followed my builds since I first started so I know you'll remember I did a few radials of my own design in the beginning. The first two pictures are the third version of my custom design (moki like). The second two pictures are the second version. Both were designed to be installed in a cowl so you don't see the carb is missing. But the first two pictures should look okay because they have the exhaust covering that area. The second version didn't have the exhaust or carb.

I don't know if I posted pictures of the third version. I made it so it would be ready when I wanted to use a radial again. It has "a lot" less triangles than the Moki scale version. Yeah, I wouldn`t recall if you did that or not ......I don't know if I posted pictures of the third version. I made it so it would be ready when I wanted to use a radial again. It has "a lot" less triangles than the Moki scale version. (21,194 vs 44,905)
That actually looks really nice.Okay, here you go. Two pictures of my custom radial version 3, with some color on the plane. The render is pretty dark so in the side picture you can't really see the exhaust and motor mount but if you look in the first picture of the radial I posted earlier (#53) you can see them.

Yes it does. That actually looks really nice.
I agree and a render with the spoke wheels would be nice. That actually looks really nice.
