Realflight 9.5 Challenge Issue

In RealFlight 9.5, even when I apply full throttle, I cannot clear Ring Race III Level 8.

As shown in the video, the controller calibration works fine, and the throttle range is properly recognized from minimum to maximum.

I have tried calibrating multiple times. I can pass through the rings without any issues and at the shortest distance, but I am unable to clear the stage.

Additionally, the captured video keeps lagging, and I'm not sure why. the result video also lagging when I capture it on Windows 11.

Environment: Ubuntu 24.04 RealFlight 9.5 Wine + Lutris

One can sometimes hammer a square peg into a round hole, but shouldn't be surprised when there are gaps.....

Only an issue if it happens when run on the hardware and OS it was designed to run on. Try that, and see if it resolves.

Hello,

I also suspected that the environment might be the issue, and I agree that one shouldn’t be surprised when there are gaps in compatibility.

That said, I’ve successfully run many games on Linux without any problems, with the exception of games like League of Legends (which requires a kernel-level anti-cheat system). I’ve also run RealFlight challenges and standard heli & airplane flight simulations for over 20 hours without any issues.

Additionally, if I switch back to Windows, I would need to unlock all the challenges again.

Therefore, I’m looking for a workaround to resolve this issue. If there’s a simple solution or tweak that could help, I’d appreciate any suggestions.

I already turned on & off software radio mixes but didn't work.

Thank you for your reply.

Additionally, RealFlight 9.5 has issues on Windows when using the latest Intel iGPU. However, to my knowledge, there are no problems when running it on Linux via Lutris.

I rebooted the laptop with the updated WINE runner settings, but the result still remains same.

To verify the in-game clock, I used a real-world timer (cell phone), and the clock appeared to be functioning correctly, time passed normally in the game, neither too fast nor too slow.

It seems the issue may lie with the USB driver. Despite engaging full throttle with the drone transmitter, Challenge mode does not seem to engage full throttle on the aircraft. In normal simulation mode, I can check the throttle output and have no problem, but in Challenge mode, I can't check throttle output, so I'm not sure if this is the root cause.

@stm32h757, this one is tricky! Perhaps too tricky. It turns out you must retract the gear and raise the flaps.

You can experiment with the L-39 outside the challenge system to confirm the necessary switch positions.

Thank you for your help. I thought I had configured the flaps and landing gear correctly because I tried to reverse their functions in channel settings, even though I hadn't assigned the channels.

However, I now realized that I must assign a specific channel to retract the gear.

In the transmitter, the output for each channel works fine when I add CH5 and CH6, but in RealFlight, CH5 and CH6 are recognized as CH3.

I’m not sure I’m explaining this well, but I’ve attached a video:

When I remove CH5 and CH6 from the TX16S settings, all four sticks work as expected.

It seems that Lutris(and wine) is not good with RealFlight + USB controller.

I guess this flight requires 4 sticks and 2 switches.
If I configure only the 4 sticks, everything works fine. However, when I add 1 switch, it’s not recognized as a switch and is instead treated as another stick.
When I add a second switch, it takes control of existing one of the sticks, which causes all the settings to become misconfigured.
Sorry if I’m not explaining this clearly.

I was able to retract gears and flaps with keyboard, but I'm still figuring out why this problem happens..

+

I was able to pass the challenge via keyboard retracted gear. and my challenge score was too low until now and I was not able to understand why, but now my score became reasonable high.

in simulation outside the challenge system I have to press U + I key to retract gear and flaps, but in challenge system I have to press only I key.
