We are pleased to announce that RealFlight version 9.50.065 is now available as a free public release for all 9.5S users! This small update addresses two issues from the initial 9.5S release.

Improvements/Fixes
  • Application starts up faster
  • KEError 32990 should no longer occur. The update should also fix the problem for anybody currently experiencing this error.
How to Get It
Steam will detect the new version and automatically update RealFlight when it thinks your computer is not very busy. You can trigger the update manually if desired by completely restarting Steam. Right-click the Steam icon in your system tray and select Exit. Once everything closes, run Steam again, and the update should complete.

Exclusively on Steam
RealFlight 9.5S is only available on Steam. Owners of RealFlight 9.x on DVD or Tower Digital can exchange their serial number for a Steam Key at https://keyexchange.realflight.com/

For users who participated in the public beta period:

Public beta versions work best on an opt-in basis. That way you know what you are getting as well as when and why.

You are welcome to remain connected to the public beta distribution branch if you would like to continue receiving new versions before they are fully tested and approved for general release. The more people testing them, the better!

However, you may want to switch back to the default (non-beta) distribution branch now that 9.50.065 is public, to avoid receiving experimental updates in the future without knowing about it. You can switch back and forth whenever you like.

To reenter the default distribution branch:
  1. Restart your Steam client to ensure it is aware that 9.50.065 is now public. (See restart instructions in previous post's "How to Get It" section.) Otherwise as soon as you leave the public beta branch it will start downloading the previous, now-outdated, version.
  2. Right-click on RealFlight 9.5S in your Steam library, then select Properties...
  3. In the Properties window, select Betas on the left.
  4. Click the "Select the beta you would like to opt into" dropdown control to expand the list.
  5. Select "None".
  6. Close the Properties dialog.
  7. You are done. If you properly completed step 1 then nothing else should happen at this point.
