RealFlight Basic Controller Switches

Hello All,

New to RFB here and to the RC Heli world but Im enjoying my learning

process. Anyways, I had a question about my RFB controller....

I want to label my switches on the top right / and top left \ corners of my

controller,

but im not sure what the correct names are, or a way to label them I guess you

could say.

For example: when flying a plane - the top right switch / flicked towards me

lowers landing gear, away from me pulls in landing gear. Or this switch works the

smoke trail.

The top left switch flicked away from me makes it dual rate "i think thats the

correct term" when the control surfaces move farther than normal.

top left towards me decreases the control surface movement.

But on Heli's I seem to be lost on which does what.

Can someone explain what the 2 switches do for a copter.

Thanks in advance.

Justin,

With RFB the upper left switch away from you is normal mode, towards you is Idle up1. The upper right switch away from you is throttle hold off, toward you is throttle hold on.

Thanks Chris McVey

Consult Google for terminology definitions. That'll get you much more complete information than you can get here.

Thank you Chris Mcvey.

That is what I was wanting to know Exactly.

But that info is no where to be found on Google about the RFB controller itself

Only pieces of info on Basic period.

But I LOVE the program, it serves its purpose well.

Im getting the hang of the Stratus 90 and the Pluma Bi-plane foamie

at the moment, and man have I saved some cash already.

Thank you for the responces.

I was referring to 2 terms specifically; throttle hold, and idle up. Those are not RF-specific terms. They are terms of the hobby.

I'm sure you can Google any definition you are looking for. Or search the forums here, if it's specific to RF.
