Realflight evolution NOT RESPONDING

After downloading evolution, I connected my Elite interlink controller by Futaba and it worked fine for several months.

My son came by with his Spektrum interlink DX controller and tried it out. It too worked fine. Now he left for college with his controller.

So now I go and plug my Elite interlink controller by Futaba and evolution is not responding.

WHY?

Any ideas. I really don't want to buy another controller.
