This is another Stearman... i know, i know, but its my favorite airplane ever. This is an authentic and historically accurate paint scheme known as the "Recall" aircraft. At many flight schools during WWII, the primary trainers, i.e. Stearmans, did not have radios for air-to-ground communications. They communicated with the tower via light signals. BUT, if there was a weather event or other reason to need to get airplanes on the ground, they would send an instructor up in a "Recall"...
