RF deluxe, what am i doing wrong???

Hi all
The system i have is a 1.8ghz Amd athlon, with 1 gig of DDR ram, geforce 3 500ti graphics card with the latest detonator drivers and 212 gig of available HDD space running Windows XP pro.
Also i have directX 9.0 installed and all of the latest drivers but i still cant get the RF deluxe to run!
The error i am getting is as follows:

The device or device instance of effect is not registered with direct input file: L:\Kelib\direct draw\dxdirectinput.cpp line:266

And nothing i do seems to sort it out, and its driving me up the wall!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!

Realfight deluxe Arrrrrrgggghhhhh!!!!

Ok gents, i have stripped RF DL out off my system and reinstalled, and i'm sorry to say that the same problems are still there!!
Beginning to think that i may have to buy another sim (not realfight)
