Seeking Help with the InterLink DX Simulator Controller

Hello everyone! I'm a new user of RealFlight Evolution and a beginner in RC flying. I could use some help understanding the InterLink DX Simulator Controller.

So far, I've only found snippets of information here and there, and I haven't been able to locate any comprehensive details about the functions of each switch, button, joystick, etc. I understand that these functions may depend somewhat on the type of RC craft the controller is managing, but I haven't found clear explanations about that either.

Could someone please help me by explaining the purpose of each control? Additionally, is there a way to determine if a control applies to specific RC aircraft besides experimenting and learning through trial and error?

I appreciate your assistance in helping this old dog get up to speed!

Welcome!

Here's a write-up by one of our other users, who does a fantastic job with controller questions. Thanks to @flightengr for the contribution!

Page 5 is what you are looking for.

Stock planes will follow that outline (if the original had that function - flaps, smoke, etc,) . Custom models downloaded from the swap pages will generally follow it too, but some will vary depending on what the designer desired. In worst cases, they changed things a fair amount, and did not include notes in the model description about the changes.

Best to ask about the function of the controls you are specifically wondering about - so we don't have to type a long response that includes things you know about, or the obvious.

Thanks for the download, Flapper. I found the Apprentice STS 1.5 manual on the E-Flite website, and it mentions some controllers. This download will be a good help.

@gilyoder, also be sure to look at the individual vehicle descriptions! At least for stock aircraft added in recent years, we make sure to list any special controls. I think some of the custom content creators do this, too, but your mileage may vary.
