Setting up RealFlight Trainer using Spectrum NX8 Transmitter and WS2000 dongle

1. Turn on your NX8+.
2. Make sure that the model you want to use with RealFlight is the current model. I'd strongly suggest making a model specifically for RealFlight. A few models are posted here that will align with the Controller Profiles included with RealFlight. Or, if you want to make your own model, you'll need to configure RealFlight to match it. Much more info about that here. To use the WS2000, you should not turn on the USB Game Controller Mode; the orange Spektrum logo light should be on. The USB Game Controller mode is only for using a USB cable.
3. Hold down the button on the WS2000 while you insert it in the USB port. The light on the WS2000 should begin flashing when you do that.
4. Go to the Function List menu on the NX8+, and scroll down to "Bind". Follow the on-screen instructions to click "BIND" a couple more times to make it happen.
5. The NX8+ should announce "Bind Complete" and the light on the WS2000 should stay on solid.

Thanks for the above guidance. I have been able to bind the NX8 to WS2000 dongle. The issue I have now is which controller to select and also do I need to calibrate the controller of leave it at the default values. I am not able to identify a compatible controller from the list available.

The controllers that are provided with RealFlight for the WS2000 are called "Spektrum Receiver". That's the device that's connected to the computer, so that's what RealFlight is looking for. It doesn't know what kind of radio you have bound to the receiver, and honestly, it doesn't matter. Instead, it's more important how you have configured the model in your NX8 and which channels are assigned to which switches on the NX8.
