Which controller are you using?
RealFlight has a heli throttle hold function on RealFlight Channel 9 that applies to all helis. If you're using the InterLink DX, that's switch H. If you're using your own controller, you'll want to set things up on your radio and then in the RealFlight Controller Profile to map RF Channel 9 to one of the channels on your radio.

What are you doing to "try throttle hold"?
With only six channels to work with, you're very limited with the functions you can assign to the radio and throttle hold probably isn't one of them.
Fortunately, there's a keyboard equivalent for RealFlight Channel 9 - it's the J key. Pressing the J key will toggle RealFlight's throttle hold on and off.
