Used Real Flight 6.5 ok to buy????

Hello!

I am just getting into RC airplanes and want to purchase a simulator before I try the plane my wife got me for xmas. I found someone willing to sell me there old RF 6.5 for $100, is this ok to do, will it download on my computer if he already used it? And is that a ok price if so? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!
 
Make sure it includes the Interlink controller, All serial Numbers and the previous Owner MUST unregister the software so that you may register the software and receive the free updates.
 
Yeah, given that they are selling RF 6.5 for $100.00 and then it will cost an additional $50.00 for the upgrade and you still don't get the mega packs, etc...

IMHO the best path is to buy it new.

Tower offers discounts on the mega packs when purchased with a new copy of Realflight 7.x.
 
I have a personal limit... I will not buy anything used unless it is half the price of the new item. You make a good point... the price of the upgrade to 7 rubs out any reason to buy used. Oh well..
