FlightAxis Link: New beta available

FlightAxis Link users: A new version of RealFlight 8, version 8.00.055, is available both for DVD & Tower Hobbies Digital versions and on Steam.

Release Notes:

• FlightAxis Link no longer requires an unlock code. It is always on in this specific version (in 8.00.056 it is turned back off).
• FlightAxis Link supports 12 channels.

As that implies, if you are not using FlightAxis Link, there is absolutely no reason to download this version. All it will do is introduce a very slight decrease in performance. (If you are not sure if you are using FlightAxis Link, you are not. )

Perform the following steps to obtain the update.

DVD and Tower Hobbies Digital versions:

1. Start the RealFlight 8 Launcher
2. Click Technical Support
3. Click Update to Specific Version, choose 8.00.055 from the list, and click OK

Steam version:

1. Right-click on RealFlight 8 in your Steam Library, then select Properties
2. In the Properties window, select the Betas tab, and click the dropdown list
3. Select "flightaxislinkbeta"
4. Close the Properties dialog
5. Wait for RealFlight 8 to update. If it doesn't do so immediately, you can force an update by completely restarting Steam. To do so, right click the Steam icon in your system tray and select Exit. Once everything closes, run Steam again, and the update should complete.
