The Beechcraft Model 18, or "Twin Beech", as it was better known, was manufactured by the Beech Aircraft Corporation of Wichita, Kansas. This model saw service during and after World War II in a number of versions including the United States Army Air Forces C-45 Expeditor, AT-7 Navigator, AT-11 Kansan; and for the United States Navy, UC-45J Navigator and the SNB-1 Kansan. Presented here is one of the more popular conversions, the addition of floats.

Modeled for RealFlight by Doug Kaye (DHK79).

Operational Notes: This is a 12 pound scale aircraft, with two .25 engines (over-propped for scale RPM) - It will need flaps to take off. While a take-off without flaps is possible, it is not recommended and you're really going to work at it (as in "bounce" the plane). With 1/2 flaps, a little up elevator will get you airborne (once you're up on the step). With full flaps, she'll gracefully lift off on her own.

This model has been updated due to a pivot error in the 3D model. No change to the operational characteristics was made. Thanks Maxkop.
