This is my 50% version of BrentG’s SB2U-1 Vindicator set up for RF 7.5….another heavy, slow scale flyer for my Half-Scale airfields….
Standard flight controls with no high or low rates…Gear on 7, down is DOWN, flaps on the scroll knob, with Pilot and Gunner cameras that pan with the three position number 8 switch (select the cameras with F4 and F5).
Reasonably scale top speed and full power vertical stalls...Runway landings can be done without flaps and a little power on…for carrier landings, full flaps and cut power at about 40 MPH to plop onto the deck and grab that Arrester Cable (I wish!)…for either, throttle management is key in the descent….she will NOT simply land herself with the power off….tricky and fun, watch out for that bounce if you’re sloppy!
