Bristol Bulldog with Machine gun, Large Scale.

First in a series of inter war classic Biplanes.

The Bulldog was designed in 1926 for the RAF as a front line fighter but never actually saw combat with the RAF but did fight in various conflicts with other foreign airforces. Equipped with a Bristol Jupiter radial engine of 450 hp it had a top speed of 180 mph.
A noteworthy point is that the famous RAF pilot of WW2, Douglas Bader lost both his legs in a Bulldog crash whilst performing unauthorised aerobatics.

The model is a recreation of an actual Bulldog on display in the RAF museum in Hendon, UK. There is also a giant scale flying model of this same aircraft in the UK made by Ian Turney-Wright.

The model has a 16’ wingspan and the usual controls plus a functioning machine gun with smoke/flame/sound on the 3 pos’ switch, away is off, middle& towards you is fire.

Many thanks to Brentg for his superbly detailed original EA.
