Pogo XFY-1 Ready for some vertical takeoff - Front Prop Style
Always intrigue me as one of the first attempts.

Took some liberties to bring the Pogo-Stick up to the future.
I don't know what kind of military engines are installed, but they sure give the "Stick" a boost.

Only one switch involved since flaps and retracts are not needed.

The three position sw. selects three different engine types.

Position 1 (toward the front) is standard turboprop for mild flying and takeoff/landing.

Position 2 (Middle) fast enough to cause a lot of air turbulence.

Position 3 (Forward) is supersonic almost immediately - whiplash style.

All are throttle controlled.

Landings are a little tricky, but do-able, requiring at least half throttle on position 1.

Watch the plane carefully, with four equal size fins, which way is up ? The black tips give a little clue.
