L-39 8X Challenge
I invented a little game for myself. You're welcome to try. Start with a stock L-39, make the engine 8 times bigger NOT just increasing thrust! Make these 4 engine changes only, no other changes allowed:
fuel consumption = 80 oz
max thrust = 216 lbs
min thrust = 16 lbs
engine weight = 40 lbs
From flight school, race to 20k feet altitude (that's 3 miles above ground) and back, land on runway, can't touch anything but runway, no damage allowed. You may use K to kill the engine- this thing goes 200mph at 2 clicks throttle!!!
clock starts when engine hits 40krpm after plane reset
stops when you come to a standstill on the runway
Yes, G3.5 has a 450 mph speed limit and yes you can easily tear this thing apart if you are not careful- just part of the challenge!
