Great Lakes Sport Trainer.

The Great Lakes Sport Trainer is an American biplane trainer and aerobatic aircraft. Originally produced in large numbers before the company building it went bankrupt in the Great Depression in 1933. Owing to its continuing popularity, however, it was eventually placed back into production in the 1970s and again in 2011 by WACO Classic Aircraft.

Thanks to Doug Kaye (DHK79) for the model.

Various refinements for excellent flight performance in RF 7.5.

Flight controls include throttle, rudder, ailersons, elevator, and 2 colors of smoke.

Fly with the channel 5 rate switch in the “High” position.

The 3 position channel 8 switch controls the smoke.

Fly with the channel 8 switch in the position farthest from you. No smoke is produced in this switch position.

The channel 8 middle position produces white smoke, and the position closest to you produces orange smoke.

This model exhibits excellent classic biplane flight characteristics. Fairly tossable aerobatics wise, but not in the same league as a Pitts Special. Nice landings, both conventional and 3 point. A joy to fly.
