ModQuad bein' a Quad Rod_RC

Evergreen Airport. Hot recording of the ModQuad doing aerobatics quadcopter style.

Note: 1. RC files don’t do prop scaling, so the props will look a lot smaller than they actually are. The first image below at Evergreen Airport shows the correct prop sizes because it wasn’t taken during recording playback. The second image shows what the props will look like in the recording, but not what they look like if you download the AV.
2. For this recording prop pitches were increased to seven and gyro rates were maxed out. in the AV, prop pitch is five and gyros are set to 600 degrees per second. Basically, lower prop pitches and lower gyro turn rates will make it more stable and easier to fly, but you won't be able to go as fast or do rapid inversions. Since the ModQuad was meant for challenging flying, its set to be aggressive, not stable.

ModQuad is my first AV of the KE Quadcopter that led to developing the Quad Quartet, 4 different quads, each with unique strengths. Here’s the line up:
*****1) Q - straight up aggressive 3D ************** 2) GQ - a larger, heavier, powerful Grappler Quad;
*****3) IQ - a hyper 3D with a very fast IQ mode ***** 4) Qombat - a heavily armed high-performance jet-quad.
Look for all 4 with unique color schemes for each. From my earlier work on the KE Quadcopter, check out The_Quad_Rod_CS and Mod_Quad_AV & CS.
