CANADAIR TUTOR, SNOWBIRDS DISPLAY TEAM, LARGE SCALE.
The Canadian airforce fly the Canadair Tutor in the “Snowbirds” team, fitted with one Orenda turbojet of 2700lb thrust giving a top speed of around 490mph.
Smoke systems are fitted to enhance the visual display at airshows.
The model is 12’ span with a top speed of 170mph, in homage to the aircrafts origin the display smoke is in the Canadian national colours of red and white.
Usual controls with smoke on 3 pos’ switch with off towards you, centre pos’ is engine smoke in white and away pos’ adds red wingtip smoke, wheel brakes on down elev’ and dual rates on ch5 with normal on up.
Rotary knob raises the canopy.
