and make sure you have the latest G3.5 version 065.

This is the Vertiplane VP-124 VTOL aircraft. It’s a 10th scale model of a 6 passenger business aircraft that can take off and land anywhere a single engine helicopter can and fly to a destination at 345 mph up to 1400 miles away. This simulator model is nearly an identical rendition of the actual 10th scale proof of concept RC model that will be completed and flown in 2008.

Transition is done by the 3 position switch on the upper left over a period of a few seconds. From hover to cruise is not too bad, just be prepared to give it some throttle. From cruise back to hover you may have to pull the throttle almost all the way back with hefty pitch adjustments as it approaches the hover position then give it some throttle as it slows down. Also, descending at low power while keeping the nose down works very well for transitioning from cruise back to hover.
