Awhile back there was mention of the possibility of a converter for ac3d to kex. Has any more thought or progress been given to this idea?? I know a great many users would fork out the $50 or so for ac3d over the $3k+ for 3ds.
No, we aren't currently providing any way to convert from ac3d to kex. You may be able to find a way to convert the file to 3ds format and then you can use the 3ds2kex utility.
