Ah well... perhaps someday I'll be able to use them in another capacity.

In RealFlight I s'pose they're not much more than pretty things to land on.
I still kinda like em.

Eventually it will find its way to the swaps.

I have 2 Ticonderoga class cruisers done now; the older model Vincennes (pictured above) and a refitted VLS version. Although the earlier variant of the Ticonderoga cruiser is no longer in active service (Vincennes is decomissioned), I always thought those older style missle launchers looked ominous. The refitted and active service version is the CG-60 Normandy. Since carrier strike groups can include two cruisers, I'll have both of them escorting the Stennis.

I can say that adding the cruiser to the AP does make it funner for the helis, and perhaps the rare individual that might like to launch something vertical, like a rocket.

That would be cool!

Although, I don't think the MK41 VLS can carry something as large as an ICBM.

A nicely detailed LASM would probably be more fun to model...

You could probably put a smoke effect on the deck for a launching missile...

But if I were to request, it would be a Wasp class assault ship. With superimposed Harriers above the deck. :)

I'm using smoke for the stacks on the Normandy...
(Stennis and Vincennes off in the distance)

So, you're the one breaking my iPhone with those obnoxiously large Pics.
Figure out the forum attachment yet?

I was going to ask you about that, phrank. He probably thinks like your friend Reggie that we need to see the pics in as high a resolution as possible. I think it's annoying.

Yeah, I know how attachments work... and I've also learned how this forum works.

I didn't realize the pics were annoying. :(

They're not, they're great! Make 'em bigger! :D

The pictures themselves are great. The size of them however is not, mainly for viewing on smart phones. Panning around to view the pic is the annoying part. :)
