RF either hangs up at various points trying to load Eli Field or if its actually launches after several attempts .. it can randomly crash.

Looks like you have an integrated graphics in your cpu. And that could be the issue in this case.. Could be, but it´s not certain that it is the problem.
Also AMD has dropped DirectX9 support on their hardware but there is a solution to this issue too somewhere. you might have to search this forum for it. Have you tried other fields and models too w/o crashes? You could try to remove it and then install again. Update any graphics driver, shut down any Antimalware/virus program for a short period of time..etc. Hope you´ll get it to work. =)

To clarify, it wasn't a hardware issue. AMD broke DirectX9 support in their drivers for a while. During that time, many AMD GPUs could use an older driver that still worked with RealFlight. That wasn't an option for the most recent devices they released, however.

Since then, AMD has restored DX9 support in their drivers. If you encounter issues today, it should be a matter of simply updating your driver. But there is always the risk of AMD doing the same thing again in the future.

We are working on a DirectX update to Evolution that will eliminate that concern.
