Why in G5 G6 Puse SPACE Key No Reaction?

Not sure if this is what you're after, but on my 6.5 setup the space key doesn't do a reset unless I've pressed the red button on the Interlink to validate the controller. But I do however get a warning message if I try to use the space key before that.
