Avia B-534

Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for bipes. For some reason I also like to work on multiple models at a time so I can switch back and forth in order not to get burn out on one model. So, I started looking for my next bipe tonight. I was looking for an aerobatic model, but came across this beauty. Something about it just said create me. I know absolutely nothing about the model, so I'll have to research it to know how it should fly and such. Anyway, here it is, the Avia B-534.

If anyone happens to know of or runs across a good reference for closeups of this plane, I'd appreciate a link. I've done a quick search but they seem to be kind of limited. Sure there's plenty from about the angle of the one I show, but I'm looking for the finer details. Things that can't be seen in this kind of shot.

I used to have a whole slew of info on my other hard drive ... I still have the drive, just cant access any of the info ...

But, I love that bipe.

WOW !!!, Andy, that`s a real cool looking plane, that radiator on the bottom is very reminiscent of the the one on my PZL, somewhat of a head ache for the rookie I was while doing that model, BUT, was a FUN challenge for me, as was the rest of the plane. I`ll try and do some research for you, and see what I come up with, Although, being a "not so common plane", not sure what that will produce, but, we`ll see ???? ;):)

This ought to get you somewhere ...

I personally like the open cockpit version.

Thanks for the help so far guys. Some of it I have and some I don't.

UT, those radiators are a pain for anyone I think. Lots of angles to have to get right and you almost have to have taken classes in modeling to understand how they all must come together.

Several years back, I had started on drawing up a set of plans based off this drawing.

I had indended to make a biplane glider out of it (mainly because everyone said it wouldn't work - still believe it would fly great) ... I don't know where I placed them ... I thought I had started a Blog on this over at RC Groups ... but I have yet to spend the time looking for it ...

I just don't have the time I want to invest ... Priorties have changed since I have gotten older, and I just don't fly my slope gliders much anymore, as climbing up and down hills is somewhat difficult for me now. :(
