Startup Script File Location

Look in the folder documents/realflight G5/scripts for the file named "startup.rfscripts" and edit it with notepad, wordpad, etc. If you cannot figure out how to find or edit it, you probably should not try...... :D

New RF installation after the PC crash and then upgraded to the latest version. The lockorientation and lockposition bindings work, but there is not any pan and zoom mouse control. Is there another setting to make?

Thanks

Are you in a photo field or 3D filed? If in a 3D field, you should be able to put the camera in chase view until you are where you want to be. Do your locks, and hit "W" to enter fly mode. W, A, S, and D control your position around the model, and the mouse will rotate the camera as desired/needed.

You can do this in a photo field as well, but you would have to unlock the camera position, and things can get pretty weird if you do.;)

The view I was looking for was Orbit. Control E selects that with 3d fields. Don't recall having to use those keystrokes before, but thought it was active with one of the mouse buttons or scroll wheel. Could use the excuse of not remembering some of details after not being able to run RF for a month.. OK, I'll go with that one. :)

"Q" will also switch between camera views.
